  • Greg Covarr
    Veterinarian

Greg Covarr graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1985. He spent two years in the dental department at the University of Pretoria doing research on guard dogs' canine teeth, when he then decided to seek his fame and fortune in London. It was there he met his wife Bronwyn, whereby together they set up three successful veterinary practices.

Greg now enjoys living on the Northern Beaches of Sydney with the menagerie of pets his wife and children have collected. When Greg is not working as a vet he can be seen playing golf at Long Reef, or pitting his skills on the tennis court against his mates. Greg loves to keep fit and is often riding his mountain bike in the National Park.

  • Jess Fish
    Vet Nurse

Jess joined the Northern Districts team in 2017 after volunteering for over a year at Forest Animal Hospital. Jess has just completed her certificate in Veterinary Nursing. Whilst studying Jess was busy working at Dog Rescue Newcastle as a foster carer and Area Co-ordinator as well as working as a part time Hotel Manager.

She had always had a passion for animals and to her parents dismay would always bring home any stray dog she found growing up. If she couldn’t find the owners she would usually convince a friend or family member to adopt.

Jess loves all creatures great and small and she hopes to participate in volunteer travel programs and work with different species throughout the world.

Jess loves to spend time with her dog Astral and her rabbit Socks. When she is not hanging out with her pets she can be found at the beach or with her head buried in a good book.

  • Baggie

Bagherra, affectionately known as Baggie, came to us in 2016. He was dumped in a crate one day on our doorstep. And since that day he has been a part of the NDV family.

Baggie may look like a grumpy cat but he is the most sweetest and affectionate boy who loves being with his humans, especially when they have food!

His favourite pastimes include eating, hissing at dogs and laying on the computer when his minions are trying to work. He also enjoys short walks in the garden and head pats.

He loves attention so when you see him around give him a head scratch and he will be your best friend!

  • RIP Mikey (aka “Prince Michael of Narraweena”)
    Practice Cat

Mikey was brought to the practice many years ago after he was hit by a car. Sadly, we recently had to say goodbye to our much loved master and friend due to his old age. During his 21 years he made many of us grow, laugh and cry. He had many admirers and friends who often stopped by just to give him a pat. We will miss his demanding ways. RIP our special boy, Mikey.
